Announcement Coming Soon: Google Sabrina TV Box Appears in FCC Database

For several months now, information about Google's new TV set-top box has been appearing on the Internet.

codenamed Sabrina, which will replace Chromecast Ultra. And now the device appeared in the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) database.

What is known

More precisely, Google has filed documents for two newdevices with model numbers GZRNL and G9N9N. GZRNL supports Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, and is most likely the set-top box itself. The website also has a label that will be placed on the back.

In turn, G9N9N only supportsBluetooth connection. It looks like it's a remote control for a set-top box. Unfortunately, there is no more information: for privacy purposes, other certification data is hidden.

But this means that the official announcement of Google Sabrina is coming soon. Perhaps the console will be presented along with the Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a 5G smartphones on September 30.

Recall that Google Sabrina is credited with the Amlogic chipS905×2, which supports 4K, HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision, as well as an ARM Mali-G31 MP2 GPU and 2GB of RAM. Sabrina will run on the Android TV operating system with an updated interface design.
