Hello Games has announced a new free expansion for No Man's Sky that will take players to explore

Desolation is a content add-on thatwill add exploration of abandoned space cargo ships to No Man’s Sky. Each ship is created randomly, so it will have a different interior and tasks. In addition, the developers wrote several different stories for the ships.
By exploring abandoned ships, players will be able to learn the background of what is happening, as well as obtain resources for their own ship.
