Chinese scientists say 6G mobile communication can positively influence brain biology

Chinese scientists have concluded that terahertz (0.3-3 THz) radiation in 6G equipment can have a positive effect

influence the biology of the brain.

What is known

The study was conducted on mice. When exposed to pulsed radiation with a power of 10 μW at a frequency of 0.3-3 THz, the growth rate of neurons in rodents increased by almost 2.5 times. In addition, the total length of connections between neurons increased by 100% within three days. Although these sounds a little scary, no abnormalities were found during the molecular analysis.

Chinese scientists have found that irradiationa small dose provokes an increase in the activity and production of various proteins, including GluN1, GluA1 and SY-28. They, in turn, provoke the growth of neurons in mice, because. the frequency of vibrations of hydrogen bonds in proteins falls in the range from 0.3 to 3 THz.

Researchers test 90-mW in rodentsradiation. When exposed to young mice for 20 minutes a day for three weeks, they significantly increased the number of new brain cells. As a result, the rodents began to learn skills faster than older mice that were not exposed to radiation. Interestingly, even after exposing old mice to 90-mW radiation, their learning ability was not improved.

Now scientists must determine the safeoperating parameters of cellular communication of the sixth generation. The launch is scheduled for 2030. In addition, the study could help explore the use of radiation to treat diseases of the nervous system.
