Scientists have discovered that one of the diseases also gives immunity to COVID-19

This startling discovery raises the intriguing possibility of immunological cross-reactivity

between dengue flavivirus and SARS-CoV-2 serotypes.

Prof. Nicolelis found that in regions where there were outbreaks of dengue fever this year or last year, the incidence of coronavirus is low and risingslower than the rest. 

According to Nicolelis, if his assumption is confirmed, then people will be able toget a certain level of immunity to COVID-19 thanks to the dengue fever vaccine. Professoradded that, according to previous studies, people with antibodies to dengue gave false positive test results for antibodies to the coronavirus, even if they had never had it.

Scientists have discovered a connection between the pastDengue fever and coronavirus outbreaks in several regions of Brazil, other parts of Latin America, Asia and the Pacific and Indian Oceans.
