WHO: Worldwide COVID-19 Cases Reach Record Level in 24 hours

The number of people infected with coronavirus in the world per day increased by 307.9 thousand people. Such data is published by

World Health Organization (WHO) on its website.

This daily increase in cases of a new type of coronavirus has become a record. The last time the maximum was recorded on September 6. Then COVID-19 was detected in 304.6 thousand people.

At the moment, most infections per dayregistered in India - 94.3 thousand people. The United States and Brazil are in second and third place with 45.5 thousand and 43.7 thousand new cases, respectively. The fourth place in terms of growth is occupied by Spain - 12.1 thousand, the fifth - Argentina with 11.5 thousand cases.

As for Russia, 5.4 thousand infected people were detected in the country per day. The daily gain keeps it in tenth place.

Recall that during the pandemic more than 28.6 million cases of COVID-19 infection were registered, the number of patients who died exceeded 917.4 thousand.
