The Armed Forces of Ukraine showed a rare video of a German Gepard anti-aircraft tank destroying Russian kamikaze drones Shahed-131 and Shahed-136

The Armed Forces of Ukraine very rarely publish videos of the combat operation of air defense systems. This

is done in order not to reveal to the enemy the positions of anti-aircraft missile systems and other equipment.

However, today, May 25, an exception was made.The Armed Forces of Ukraine showed how a German Gepard anti-aircraft tank destroys Russian Iranian-made Shahed-131 and Shahed-136 kamikaze drones.

The video was recorded on the night of May 25th.Within hours, the Air Force destroyed 36 of the 36 drones. For this, mobile fire groups, fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile systems and other components of the Ukrainian Defense Forces were involved.

Gepard is a self-propelled anti-aircraft gun onchassis of the Leopard 1 tank. It is equipped with two Oerlikon KDA 35 mm cannons. Gepard can intercept aerial threats at ranges up to 4 km. The maximum interception height is 3 km.
