IOS 14.2.1 released: we strongly recommend installing!

Apple has released an operating system update that contains fixes for several

important mistakes. Just two weeks ago, iOS 14.2 was launched, and now the manufacturer is rolling out the next update, which is important to install for the owners of the new iPhone 12 models from Apple.

IOS 14.2 update.1 is free to download and can be downloaded wirelessly from the Settings app. To access the new software, go to Settings> General> Software Update.

According to Apple's release notes, iOS 14.2.1 fixes several serious bugs found in newer iPhone 12‌ devices. In particular, it fixed a bug due to which some MMS text messages were not accepted in both individual and group chats, and also fixed a bug due to which the lock screen of the iPhone 12 mini did not respond.

The build also includes a fix for Made for iPhone hearing devices that were experiencing audio quality issues. Apple's update notes are below.

iOS 14.2.1 solves the following problems for your iPhone:

- Some MMS messages may not be received

- Hearing aids designed for the iPhone may have sound quality issues when listening to the sound from the iPhone.

- The lock screen may stop responding on the iPhone 12 mini.

There were many complaints about all these issues. On iPhone 12‌ mini, users have seen issues when swiping from the bottom of the lock screen or when pressing the flashlight or camera buttons.

Missing text messages firstThe queue affected iPhone users who were in group chats with Android users due to a bug that prevented some Android text messages from appearing in the chat.

Apple did not recognize these problems, but it did existSupport document for the third issue that caused some people with hearing aids and devices built for iPhones to experience unexpected noises, such as loud static or choppy sounds.

Apple is also testing iOS 14.3 and has already sent out two beta versions of this update to developers. iOS 14.3 brings ProRAW functionality to the new iPhones and also introduces the Fitness + service.
