Moscow will launch a system for checking the digital profiles of taxi drivers

The Moscow authorities announced the digital system in the spring of 2019.

The system will serve as a software

"Gateway" between the aggregator and the taxi driver and notwill allow the transfer of orders to drivers without a license, with a criminal record, those who have little rest, violate traffic rules and so on, the publication points out. They will not be able to work directly, said Stanislav Shvagerus, head of the competence center of the International Eurasian Taxi Forum.

To launch a digital profile, a decree from the Moscow government is needed, which will oblige aggregators to work according to the new rules, Schwagerus said.
