Russia will develop a new processor for 7.5 billion rubles

Thanks to the public procurement website, it became known that the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia ordered the development of a new processor

Writes about this "". The contractor will have to create a universal 32-core microprocessor. It will be used in high-performance server computing systems, high-performance storage systems and supercomputers. The new processor should deliver performance in teraflop and petaflop values.

The Russian processor, codenamed "Elbrus-32C", will have to withstand operating temperatures ranging from -60 to +90 degrees Celsius.

They want to use the future Elbrus inindustrial systems, institutions of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), aerospace and nuclear energy, as well as for artificial intelligence algorithms.
