Kuo said this in a research note.for MacRumors. The new budget smartphone will be equipped with an LCD display. The analyst is sure that the smartphone will not receive Face ID, due to which the company will reduce or completely remove the notch on the screen.

If the budget iPhone 9 (SE2) really comes out this spring, then the successor model with a side Touch ID in the power button may come out next spring, Kuo said.

Kuo also previously reported that in 2021, an iPhonewill receive both authentication options: Face ID and Touch ID, but built into the display. You can unlock the iPhone by clicking on any part of the screen. Both systems will complement, not replace each other.
