IFixit disassembled and assessed the maintainability of the new OnePlus Nord

A couple of weeks ago, OnePlus unveiled a new mid-range smartphone - OnePlus Nord. Failing miserably

JerryRigEverything's endurance test, it fell into the hands of iFixit.

What about maintainability?

A decent amount is hidden inside the smartphonescrews, but they are all the same length and type, so you only need one Philips screwdriver to disassemble. Almost all parts are modular, so there will be no problems with repairs. This also applies to the battery.

Interestingly, the widespread use of rubbergaskets around the connectors for waterproofing, although OnePlus Nord has no proven IP rating. The company previously explained that obtaining certification will affect the price, so they decided to refuse it.

The weak point of the smartphone, like most modern models, is the display. It is attached with a lot of glue, so problems may arise when replacing.

As a result, OnePlus Nord scored 6 out of 10 for maintainability, which is not a bad result.
