As a result, they found that a long daytime sleep of more than 60 minutes is closely associated with a 30% increased risk of death from all causes and, more interestingly, a 34% higher likelihood of cardiovascular disease.

Moreover, a more accurate study of the issue ledscientists concluded that prolonged naps are more dangerous for women - they were 22% more likely to die after naps than those who did not sleep.
