NASAMS air defense systems, ammunition, Phoenix Ghost and Switchblade UAVs: US announced a new $1.3 billion aid package for Ukraine

The United States of America continues to help Ukraine fight against Russian invaders, announcing

a new package of military assistance for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

What is known

The new aid package is estimated at $1.3 billion and includes:

  • 4 NASAMS air defense systems and ammunition;
  • 152 mm artillery shells;
  • Demining equipment;
  • Missiles with optical guidance TOW;
  • Unmanned aerial vehicles Phoenix Ghost and Switchblade;
  • High-precision aviation ammunition;
  • Means of detecting UAVs and electronic warfare.
  • 150 fuel trucks;
  • 115 tactical vehicles for towing and transporting equipment;
  • 50 tactical vehicles for equipment recovery;
  • Port and harbor security equipment;
  • Tactical secure communication systems;
  • Support for training and maintenance activities.

UAV Switchblade

Armament will be transferred under the USAI (Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative) program. It will be purchased from the industry.
