According to the release note, iOS 11 beta 4contains bug fixes and improvements. On iOS 11 beta 4, they finally added the ability to swipe notifications to delete them, as well as slightly changed the icons.
If you are upset that you do not have an accountdeveloper, you will be pleased with an easy way to get a beta version for developers without it. Moreover, the steps do not require the use of a computer, and you only need your iPhone or iPad. Or you can become a public beta tester and install iOS 11 public beta 3 a bit later this week.
How to install iOS 11 beta 4 without developer account
If you have already installed iOS 11 beta:
- Reinstall the iOS Beta Software profile by clicking this link.
- Select iOS 11 beta and install an updated profile.
- You will need to reboot the device.
- After rebooting your iPhone or iPad, you'll see iOS 11 Beta 4 OTA when you go to Settings > Software Update and click download and install.
If you install iOS 11 beta first:
Step 1: From your device, follow this link. Open it in Safari, not another browser or application.
Step 2: You will be automatically redirected to the "iOS Beta Software Profile", where you will need to click To install three times and select reboot.
Step 3: When your iPhone or iPad completes the reboot, go to Settings> General> Software Update, and iOS 11 beta OTA should be available for download. If the update did not appear, wait a couple of minutes and try again. If this does not work, reboot the device again.
After downloading OTA, install it like any other iOS update.
