Millions of computers in the world are still running Windows XP

Microsoft released Windows XP in 2001. NetMarketShare analysts have found that millions of computers in the world are up to

As of last month, 1.26% of all laptopsand desktops around the world are running Windows XP. This is a higher share than for younger Windows 8 (0.57%), ChromeOS (0.42%) and Windows Vista (0.12%).

It's worth noting that Windows XP was no longer supported in April 2014. That is, Microsoft does not provide security updates for this operating system.

TechRadar estimates that if there are more than two billion computers in the world, about 25.2 million of them are running insecure Windows XP.
