ISS escaped collision with space debris

Shortly before this, a source at the Mission Control Center in Moscow said that a dangerous

rendezvous of the ISS with an unrecognized space object, in connection with which an evasive maneuver of the station is planned.

The station's crew was not endangered during the approach of the "unrecognized piece of space debris" and has already returned to normal duties, the statement said.

The maneuver is complete. Astronauts come out of hiding.

The American department clarified that with the help ofthe engines of the Progress cargo ship successfully carried out an evasion maneuver. As stated in the statement, during this operation, NASA and Russian controllers worked together.
