Typical traits of women working in IT are named

CROC, together with the Women In Tech movement, named the typical features of women working in IT. Specialists

interviewed 455 girls from more than 170 Russian and international IT companies.

The portrait of a woman in IT is as follows: her name is Ekaterina, she works as a test engineer and has a higher technical education. It should be understood that this description was compiled based on the most popular characteristics.

Mostly women choose a profession in IT due toprospects of the sphere and high wages (38%). Most of the respondents believe that studying at a university made the greatest contribution to their professional development.

56% of respondents also said that at leastonce heard the statement that "technology is not for girls." Another 40% of those surveyed said that they had encountered situations when a man was given preference when hiring.
