Scientists conducted a study on older women and found that cabbage is good for the circulatory system
Researchers have devoted their work to the effects of cruciferous vegetables on human health. This family includes different varieties of cabbage.
As part of the study, scientists observedthe condition of several hundred elderly women. Experts assessed their condition of the abdominal part of the aorta: how much it is calcified, that is, how much calcium compounds have accumulated there. The fact is that this causes a decrease in the elasticity of the vessel walls.
As it turned out, those women who ate at least 45 grams of cabbage per day were 46% less likely to have aortic calcification than those who ate less.
