tests of a broadband communication system (BSS) atthe Russian segment of the International Space Station (ISS) will be completed in the third quarter of 2020. During the tests, the Internet speed on the ISS was confirmed.

As noted in the TASS material, the ShSS includes initself transmitting equipment, created by the rocket and space corporation "Energia", and receiving equipment from the company "Information Satellite Systems" them. M.F. Reshetnev (ISS).

Already carried out tests of the system have confirmed its main characteristics. It has been proven that it can transmit messages through Luch satellites at speeds up to 180 Mbit / s.

TASS recalls that earlier the head of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin said that its own broadband Internet on the Russian segment of the ISS will appear by the end of the year.
