Yesterday, Apple announced the MacBook 2016 early, and today the first Geekbench benchmark scores appeared.

GeekBench test MacBook 2016 early
The single core test scored 2670 points. The 2015 model scored 2,303 points in GeekBench 3.
The 2016 early MacBook's multi-core test scored 5,252 points, while the 2015 model's multi-core test scored 4,621 points.

The new MacBook 2016 early has severaltechnical improvements, including a new Intel Core M5 Skylake processor, which until now was clocked at 1.20 GHz, for the base model. The new 2016 MacBook also has 8GB of RAM in the base build.
