What is known

Four B-1B Lancer aircraft arrived in Europe inend of May. They are located at the base of the Royal Air Force of Great Britain "Fairford" (Fairford). Two out of four aircraft took part in the Arctic Challenge 2023 exercises the day before.

A pair of B-1B Lancers along with American andNorwegian F-35 Lightning II flew over the world's largest aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford, which also arrived in the region. By the way, for the fifth generation F-35 fighters, this is also the first Arctic Challenge exercise. The US Air Force sent eight aircraft to Norway in May.

In addition to the F-35 and B-1B, the US will deploy airKC-135 Stratotanker tankers and fourth-generation F-15E Strike Eagle fighters. They are located at the bases "Erland" (Ørland), Norway, and "Prikkala" (Prikkala), Finland, respectively.
