$1,000,000,000 contract: Slovakia buys 12 Bell AH-1Z Viper attack helicopters and 500 AGM-114 Hellfire II missiles

Slovakia is going to strengthen its air force with new American helicopters.

What is known

According to the Minister of Defense Jaroslav Nagy(Jaro Nad), Slovakia is buying 12 Bell AH-1Z Viper attack helicopters from the United States, as well as 500 AGM-114 Hellfire II missiles. The contract amount is $1,000,000,000, but Slovakia will pay only $330,000,000. The US will take over the rest, in exchange for Slovakia transferring Soviet MiG-29 fighters to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. There is no information yet when helicopter deliveries will begin.
