Slovakia is going to strengthen its air force with new American helicopters.
What is known
According to the Minister of Defense Jaroslav Nagy(Jaro Nad), Slovakia is buying 12 Bell AH-1Z Viper attack helicopters from the United States, as well as 500 AGM-114 Hellfire II missiles. The contract amount is $1,000,000,000, but Slovakia will pay only $330,000,000. The US will take over the rest, in exchange for Slovakia transferring Soviet MiG-29 fighters to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. There is no information yet when helicopter deliveries will begin.

Bell AH-1Z Viper is an American drumhelicopter based on the Bell AH-1 Super Cobra model. It is equipped with composite four-bladed main and tail rotors, upgraded avionics, an improved sighting system, and an NTS (Night Targeting System) night vision system.
