A camera application from MIUI 11 revealed that Xiaomi is preparing a smartphone with support for 8K 30fps video recording

Xiaomi recently showed the flagship Mi 9 Pro 5G and the concept device Mi Mix Alpha, but now it seems to be working

over another top-end novelty.

What is known

Craftsmen from XDA-Developers "picked" in the newcamera application from MIUI 11. In it, they found lines of code that hints that the company is working on a smartphone with support for recording video with a resolution of 7680 × 4320 (8K) at 30 frames per second. In comparison, the 108-megapixel ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor supports a maximum of 6K 30fps. There are also ASUS ZenFone 6 and ASUS ROG Phone II smartphones on the market that can record video with this resolution, but at a maximum of 24fps and only through a special application.

Unfortunately no detailed information about this. The new Xiaomi smartphone is not. Perhaps this is the future flagship Mi 10, which should receive a new top-end processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 865. In any case, wait for the device this year is definitely not worth it.
