A robot sent to Mars to generate oxygen

As it became known, on July 30, a rocket was sent from Cape Canaveral to Mars, on which the newest

rover Perseverance. Judging by the published information, the rover will deliver to the Red Planet many useful devices in the future, including a robot for generating oxygen.

The device will be called Mars Oxygen In-SituResource Utilization Experiment or MOXIE for short. As conceived by the developers, the robot will be engaged in the production of oxygen necessary for human life directly from the atmosphere of Mars. It is worth noting that the importance of the success of MOXIE's work can hardly be overestimated, since the problem of the lack of oxygen on the Red Planet is one of the biggest problems that the first expeditions to Mars will face.
