Amazfit T-Rex - “smart watch” with military standard protection for $ 140 introduced

As promised, Amazfit introduced the T-Rex protected smartwatch as part of CES 2020.

already got the standard 1.3-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 360 × 360 pixels and support for the “always on screen” function. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. In addition, the manufacturer took care of protection against moisture and dust according to the IP68 standard.

A standard set, but the watch is stronger than it seems. According to the company, Amazfit T-Rex passed 12 tests in accordance with the requirements of the American military standard MIL-STD-810G. So the gadget withstands extreme temperatures, from -40 ℃ to + 70 ℃, got a shockproof case and is resistant to corrosion.

Inside the watch fit an optical sensorpalpitations, a three-axis accelerometer, as well as a geomagnetic sensor and an ambient light sensor. Amazfit T-Rex “communicates” with the outside world and other devices via Bluetooth 5.0 LE and GPS + GLONASS. In addition, the watch is compatible with Android 5.0 and higher, as well as iOS, starting from version 10.0. Amazfit T-Rex live up to 20 days thanks to a 390 mAh battery.

Amazfit T-Rex will be available in black, gray, camouflage and green with a price tag of $ 140. The gadget is already available in China, and will be selected outside the country by the end of January.
