What is known
According to the publication Android Police, usersAlready started to get a dark theme in Gmail v2019.08.18.267. The screenshots show that the color is not black, but gray, as in other branded applications of the company. Such an interface can be enabled forcibly. It can also automatically change when the battery is low or at certain times (only on smartphones with Android 10).

When to expect
You can download the latest version of Gmail on the APK Mirror website and in the Play Store, but the dark theme is added on the server side. If you don't have it yet, you'll have to wait a little.
