Apple will not host WWDC 2020

Apple today officially announced that the 31st WWDC 2020 Worldwide Developers Conference will

conducted only in digital format, withoutthe actual gathering of people and developers due to the continued spread of coronavirus worldwide. The event will be held exclusively online.

WWDC 2020

In June, Apple conducts WWDC as usualMcEnery Convention Center in San Jose, California, but it was in this area that several cases of coronavirus were reported, which is why Apple decided to cancel this event, but not fully, because it is not known whether the infection will still remain a problem in the summer months.

Although in San Jose there will be no actualevents, Apple will give an online lecture to introduce new software (and possibly hardware) products. We expect Apple to introduce iOS 14, iPadOS 14, macOS 10.16, tvOS 14, and watchOS 7.

It is currently unknown whether Apple will introducenew hardware in June, but products like the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air are expected to receive updates this year, so maybe we'll see some hardware updates.

Apple will also provide session informationdevelopers and new information on future operating systems through the Apple Developer website or the dedicated WWDC app for iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.

Note that Apple is not the first large company to cancel a major event for developers. F8 and Facebook I / O Developer Conferences have also been canceled due to coronavirus.
