ASUS warned about the rise in price of video cards and motherboards

ASUS Technical Product Manager Juan Jose Guerrero told Facebook that video cards and

the company's motherboards will rise in price.

An ASUS spokesperson said that in 2021a change in manufacturer's recommended retail prices (MSRP) is coming. The update applies to video cards and motherboards. The changes will take effect in early 2021, Guerrero said. The new MSRPs were introduced because component costs, operating costs and logistics costs increased. In addition, customs tariffs continue to rise.

ASUS also said it is actively working with partners and suppliers to minimize price increases.

The changes have already taken effect in the official American ASUS store. For example, the ROG Strix 3090 OC graphics card has risen in price to $ 1980 from $ 1800.
