Best of Wear OS and Tizen: Reveals the new Google Wear OS to bring Samsung and Fitbit smartwatches

What changed

First of all, Google joined forceswith Samsung to create a new Wear OS. And yes, Samsung is really abandoning its Tizen platform, so the manufacturer's future smartwatches will run Wear OS. According to Google representatives, it will combine “the best of Wear OS and Tizen.”

Google promises that with the new OS, applications will belaunch 30% faster, with smooth UI animations. To improve battery life, the lower layers of the OS are optimized to use low-power hardware cores.

Third-party manufacturers will also finally be able to add a custom user interface to Wear OS. For example, Samsung watches will receive the proprietary One UI shell on top of Wear OS.

In addition, there will be access to Googe Play fordownload applications directly from your watch. YouTube Music is coming to Wear OS "later this year" with features like smart downloading, allowing subscribers to enjoy music on the go.
