China has created an unmanned flying submarine to counter aircraft carrier defense systems

Chinese experts have developed an underwater aerial vehicle that can evade sonars and radars.

What is known

The drone was developed by engineers from the Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. The device can alternately move through the air and under water.

Scientists first began to work on similardecisions almost 100 years ago. Now specialists have access to modern components that solve a number of difficulties faced by the creators of such devices.

Chinese professor Ji Wanfengclaims that the new drone will allow you to simply and quickly disrupt the defense systems of enemy aircraft carriers. The drone can dive underwater to avoid radar. When detected by sonar, the drone emerges and rises into the air. According to the professor, the simultaneous use of several such drones will be able to overload the computer systems of aircraft carriers.

Flying submarine, no matter how strangesuch a designation sounded, equipped with a pillow at the bottom. By filling it, you can control the level of immersion of the drone. After surfacing, there may be problems with takeoff. Chinese experts were able to solve this problem by creating an advanced control system, due to which the drone glides over the waves before takeoff.
