China's first reusable ship returned to Earth

According to a report by state news agency Xinhua, the experimental spacecraft

Xinhua notes that this ship representsrepresents an "important breakthrough" in the development of reusable spacecraft that could provide a cheaper and more convenient solution for "peaceful uses of space". The device could reduce the cost of delivering a payload into space.

Earlier, China put into orbit an experimentalspacecraft reusable. The state publication Xinhua said the launch was successful and that the Long 2F March rocket sent the spacecraft into orbit from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in the Gobi Desert. However, journalists were unable to find out the exact launch time and what technologies the device will test.

Space News noted that over the launchhave been working for several months. They speculate that this is the same reusable spacecraft project that China talked about back in 2017.

In previous reports, the Chinese authorities have stated thatplan to use reusable ground-orbit spacecraft. Officials from China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation added that they have completed several ground tests of engines and other components of the device.
