Codemasters announced that they have pushed back the release date of DIRT 5 again, but this time not due to production issues.

On the official page of DIRT developersannounced that the fifth game in the series will be released on November 6, not October 16. This applies to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC versions, with Early Access for Amplified Edition owners starting November 3.
The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X editions are still scheduled for release later this year.
In the publication, the developers did not give a clearexplanations, but Codemasters CEO Frank Sagnier explained the reason in a corporate letter. According to the CEO, the new release date will allow the new and old generation versions to be released closer together. Thus, the company wants to "take advantage of the launch of next generation consoles."
“DiRT 5 has received widespread critical acclaim,culminating in the game winning the gamescom 2020 Best Racing Game Award on August 30th. The revised launch date will allow us to take advantage of the next-generation console launch expected for the holiday season, ”writes Sagnier.
