Data from mobile operators showed changes in sleep patterns of Russians

Due to the spread of coronavirus infection in Russia, many people have switched to remote work.

Data from mobile operators showed changes in the sleep patterns of Russians after these events.

The MTS said that Muscovites began to sleep almostan hour longer. In the second half of March, the operator’s subscribers began to go to bed about half an hour earlier than in February. They started to wake up 25 minutes later. The company found this out by analyzing anonymized big data. Experts took into account the time that the smartphone is not used.

Thus, it became clear that in February the inhabitants of Moscow and Moscow Region slept on average 6 hours 30 minutes a day, but in the second half of March this figure increased to 7 hours 25 minutes.

Beeline also said that the duration of sleep for subscribers using the Gigi for Sleep service has increased. Almost half of the protesters sleep for nine or ten hours.
