Back in 2014, the first Chairless Chair device appeared - an exoskeleton for the lower body. It does not interfere with walking

while supporting the user when he moves into a sitting position. Now there is a lighter and more comfortable model.

The newly announced Chairless Chair device2.0 is produced by the German company noonee. It will come in handy for workers who have to stand for long periods of time and cannot carry around a stool or folding chair to rest.

As in the original model, in version 2.0 uses an adjustable damper to support the user's body weight. The user simply bends their knees to lower to the desired level and turns on the damper. The exoskeleton is then locked into the desired configuration by directing the weight onto the heels of the shoe. The device itself is attached to the hips and waist with a belt.

The advantages of the new model are that it fitsfor a wider height range from 1.5 to 2 m. Also among the improvements of the Chairless Chair 2.0 are a 25% weight reduction (from 3.4 kg to 2.55 kg), a more comfortable design, and shoe connectors are lighter and more reliable .

The Chairless Chair 2.0 will be officially launched later this month at the Hannover Messe. Prices have not yet been announced.
