FCC: iPhone 12 will support reverse charging in the future

This all sounds rather vague, but as Mark Gurman notes in his tweet with a copy of the document, the application

could mean that the iPhone 12 may havehidden reverse charging function. “Possibly have MagSafe on the new AirPods,” he wrote, suggesting the new phones will be able to charge the next generation of Apple AirPods through the company's MagSafe system.

MagSafe is a power connector for Apple laptops. First introduced in conjunction with a MacBook Pro at the Macworld Expo in San Francisco on January 10, 2006 by Apple

According to 9to5Mac, there were rumors of reversewireless charger for iPhone 11. But Apple reportedly removed it from the final version of the device. This time, the company may have decided to move forward. Although it is impossible to know anything for sure until an official announcement is made. In any case, if the iPhone 12 does have such capabilities, it shouldn't come as such a big surprise. More and more manufacturers, including Oppo and OnePlus, have begun adding reverse charging to their phones to attract buyers. Samsung is calling its approach to Wireless Powershare, and it debuted the Galaxy S10 last year.

Recall that reverse charging is a technology thatincluded in some phones since 2019, which allows you to charge another device or another mobile phone via a smartphone. The device you want to charge must be compatible with wireless charging technology.
