What is known

"Hyacinth-S" is a 152-mm howitzer on a trackedchassis, which is intended for the elimination of command posts, manpower, military equipment and enemy structures. The artillery installation uses high-precision, high-explosive fragmentation projectiles and active-reactive ones. The maximum launch range is 20 km, 30.5 km and 33.1 km, respectively.

2S5 "Hyacinth-S" is equipped with a 152-mm gun 2A37 withammunition 30 shells. The weapon system also includes one 7.62 mm machine gun. Engine power is 520 horsepower. The howitzer can reach speeds of almost 63 km/h on the highway and 30 km/h on rough terrain. The maximum power reserve is 500 km.
