Germany handed over 24 Gepard anti-aircraft guns to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, they can destroy aircraft, helicopters and UAVs at an altitude of up to 3 km

Germany continues to supply Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns to Ukraine to strengthen air defense.

What is known

The information appeared on the German government website. Ukraine received an additional 4 installations. In total, there are now 24 of them in service with the Ukrainian Armed Forces, but there will be more - 30 pieces.

Gepard is an anti-aircraft self-propelled gun,which is produced by the German company Krauss-Maffei. It is designed to cover ground forces, destroy air targets at slant ranges from 100 m to 4 km and at altitudes up to 3 km, flying at speeds up to 350-400 m/s, as well as ground and surface targets from a range of up to 4500 meters. The ZSU is built on the Leopard tank chassis.
