Today, during an online presentation, Google unveiled the flagship Pixel 5 smartphone and the 5G version of the Pixel 4a.
The Pixel 5 is water resistant(IP68) and made from 100% recyclable materials. The smartphone has support for wireless and reverse wireless charging. The device is equipped with a 6-inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The Pixel 5 has support for the Always-on display feature. The device is powered by a 4000 mAh battery.
Google's new smartphone supports 5G and workson the Snapdragon 765G processor - not the top model, as expected. The device has 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of permanent memory. Interestingly, the Pixel 5 lacks a headphone jack, unlike its younger counterparts. As usual, Google focuses on the capabilities of smartphone camera software. On the back panel it has two cameras: 12 megapixels and 16 megapixels (ultra wide angle).
Due to the fact that the "filling" of the Pixel 5 is nottop-end, the smartphone turned out to be cheaper than its predecessors. Prices for the new product start at $ 699, while the Pixel 4's starting price was $ 100 higher at $ 799.
