The target of the attack was one of the clients of the Google Cloud Armor service. But in the end, the attacker did not achieve his goal. Google suggested that such a powerful DDoS attack is related to the Meris botnet.
“The attacker probably decided that he could not have the desired effect, while incurring significant costs to carry out the attack,” Google said in a report.
