What makes these two exploits particularly notable is thattheoretically give access to PS5 software. Firmware decryption – which is possible thanks to the keys Fail0verflow – potentially allowing hackers to further reverse-engineer the PS5 software and possibly develop hacks that could allow the installation of Linux, emulators, and even pirated games.
It is clear that Sony is committed toprevent such actions by users and will do everything possible to prevent the spread of these exploits to a wider audience, and will also try to eliminate existing vulnerabilities.
