Intel Core i9-12900K broke the overclocking record

American enthusiast Splave was able to get close to the 7 GHz boundary when overclocking the latest Intel processor

Core i9-12900K.It was able to support Hyper-Threading activity for all eight performance cores.Thus, the processor broke the record.

In the Geekbench3 Multi Core test, the Intel Core modelThe i9-12900K showed the best result among all processors with the same number of performance cores (the i9-12900K has an 8P+8E configuration). The record holder scored 83,237 points. The frequency value was 6969 MHz.

During overclocking, a serial Intel Core i9-12900K worked with an ASRock Z690 Aqua OC motherboard and was cooled with liquid nitrogen.

During the presentation of the new generation of processors, Intel said that the overclocking capabilities are excellent.
