Intel intends to “catch up and overtake” Moore's law

Intel used the improvised stage at the Innovation event to not only announce Alder Lake processors.

CEO Patrick Gelsinger plucked up courage and announced that "Moore's Law is alive."

It is well known that by the middle of the pastdecades, the rule formulated by company co-founder Gordon Moore has slowed – The doubling of transistor density occurred every two and a half years, rather than every 18 months, as before. However, Patrick Gelsinger is convinced that the innovations introduced by Intel will allow the company in the next ten years not only to catch up with Moore's law in its classical interpretation, but also to accelerate its action.

Moreover, the company boasts that not a singlethe competitor can't match Intel's speed of increasing transistor density. Intel believes it will overtake competitors in lithography by mid-decade by introducing five new process technologies over the next four years.
