Krauss-Maffei Wegmann and Milrem Robotics will give Ukraine 14 THeMIS robots, they can deliver weapons to the battlefield and transport the wounded

German defense company Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW) and Estonian developer of robots and autonomous systems Milrem Robotics

signed a contract for the supply of THeMIS unmanned devices for Ukraine.

What is known

Information about this appeared on the Milrem website.robotics. It is planned to transfer 14 ground-based drones to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The first 7 robots will arrive in Ukraine in December, and the rest in early 2023. Robots are planned to be used to evacuate the wounded and to deliver weapons to the battlefield.

THeMIS (Tracked Hybrid Modular Infantry System) -it is a robotic tracked hybrid modular infantry system. It is produced by the Estonian company Milrem Robotics. The open architecture of the car gives it the ability to perform many tasks. The main purpose of THeMIS is to support the logistics of the base and provide last mile supplies for combat units on the front lines. By the way, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are already using THeMIS robots in the war against the Russian invaders.
