What is known
The new product was called Dimensity 700.The SoC is built using a 7-nanometer process technology. It boasts an integrated 5G modem that operates on fifth-generation networks on two SIM cards simultaneously. The maximum download speed is 2.77 Gbps.
MediaTek Dimensity 700 received eight cores:two high-performance ARM Cortex-A76 with a maximum clock frequency of 2.2 GHz and six energy-efficient ARM Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0 GHz. The graphics accelerator model is the same as the Dimensity 720 - Mali-G57. The new product is also equipped with LPDDR4X RAM up to 12 GB with a frequency of 2133 MHz and a dual-channel UFS 2.2 drive.
MediaTek Dimensity 700 supports displays with resolutions up to FHD+ and frequencies up to 90 GHz, cameras up to 64 MP, 1080p 30fps video recording, Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.1.
When to expect
MediaTek has not announced when the first smartphones based on the new SoC will appear. Most likely, they should be expected in the first half of 2021.
