Microsoft has released the browser Edge on the engine Chromium

Microsoft promised last year to release its Edge browser based on the Chromium engine. And finally, the company

did it.

What is known

The new product has so far been released for developers in two versions: Dev Channel and Canary Channel. Microsoft will also release a more stable beta version of the browser in the near future.

Thanks to the Chromium engine, the new browser worksfaster. There are no major changes as compared with the regular Edge, but in future updates they promise to add a dark mode, an integrated file reader, a translator, a “fast scrolling” function and much more.

Where can I download

The new Edge can already be downloaded on the official website. It is currently only compatible with Windows 10. Versions for Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7 and macOS will be released later.
