Developer Toadman Studios and publisher Sold Out have announced Minimal Affect, a cartoon action game in the spirit of Mass Effect.
What is known
The similarities with BioWare's creations beginstarting with the title and ending with the gameplay. In Minimal Affect, the player will have to go on a journey to save space together with a loyal (or not so loyal) team.
The developers promise a skill system, plotwith choice, side quests, and shootouts with a third-person view. All this is seasoned with visual style and humor in the spirit of the Final Space cartoon.

"Command a crew of questionable ability,probably mentally ill, but undoubtedly charming cadets on their random journey through the Milky Way. "Enjoy incredibly satisfying third-person combat and a narrative filled with humor, as well as technically legal swearing that you won't find in any other video game - especially after the ESRB finds out about this one," the developers write.
Minimal Affect will be released in Europe and North America in 2021 on “most major consoles” and PC.
