System tests were held in Romania at a military base"Capu Midia" (Capu Midia). They were attended by fourth-generation F-16 Fighting Falcon and Eurofighter Typhoon fighters of the Turkish and Spanish air forces, respectively, as well as French Dassault Rafale carrier-based fighters and American EA-18 Growler electronic warfare aircraft.
The Alliance said that these were ordinary plannedan exercise that was conducted to demonstrate the readiness and cooperation of NATO forces in response to threats from any direction. As part of the tests, the French air defense system successfully coped with the simulation of an air attack.
SAMP / T - Franco-Italian anti-aircraft missilea complex developed by Eurosam, a joint venture between Thales, MBDA Italy and MBDA France. A few days ago, the Reuters news agency reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine could receive SAMP / T along with the Aspide air defense system.
