The studio is developing the game together withthemeborne. The latter publish board games with simple rules. Themeborne is best known for the award-winning Escape the Dark series of atmospheric adventure games. Escape the Dark is known for focusing on simple co-op playthroughs.

The Last of Us:Escape the Dark will offer players from 1 to 5 people a new way to immerse themselves in the world of The Last of Us. Taking on the roles of Ellie, Joel, Tess, Bill, Tommy or Marlene, fans will be able to experience their own unique survival story as they explore the open world map, trying to find their way to safety while saving while the lives of all members of the group.

The Last of Us: Escape the Dark will launch on Kickstarter on November 8th, offering fans not only a deeper understanding of the game, but also an exclusive Collector's Edition of the game.
