Netflix has not officially announced the premiere date for The Witcher series, but visitors to Comic Con London found out for themselves.

According to the Redanskaya Twitter accountintelligence", then Netflix installed a poster at the event, announcing the premiere of the series. The first episode of The Witcher will be shown on December 16, which means the release on the streaming service will take place the next day - December 17. Note that Netflix hinted at the same date in an unsuccessful announcement, which was temporarily published by the service’s official Twitter account in September.

The Witcher showrunner Lauren Hissrich and FreyaAllan, who plays Ciri, held a press conference where they talked more about the series. According to Hissrich, Geralt will get a lot of screen time, but Ciri and Yenifer will also “get their due” attention.
“He (Geralt) is on the screen a lot. It is important to make sure that Ciri and Yen get theirs. We need to understand them all individually so we can understand them together,” the showrunner said.

Speaking about the mood of the series, Hissrich made it clear that viewers can expect a variety of emotions:
“You'll get all the action in the world.There is violence, blood, sex, dead children. But even when you endure it all, there are great moments of pure drama, human moments. Fantasy is about normal people in abnormal places and situations."
