New smartphones of the Motorola Edge line will run on Snapdragon 778G and Snapdragon 865/870 chips

Back in April, an insider said that Motorola was working on four new Edge smartphones.

Now journalists from the German publication TechnikNews have obtained details about the devices.

What is known

The devices are codenamed Berlin,Berlin NA, Pstar and Kyoto. The first two models are similar to each other. The smartphones will receive a Snapdragon 778G chip, 6/8 GB of RAM, 128/256 GB of ROM and front cameras with OmniVision OV32B40 sensors. As for the main one, a 108-megapixel Samsung S5KHM2 sensor will be installed in Berlin. It will be complemented by a 16 MP wide-angle lens OmniVision (OV16A10) and an 8 MP telephoto OmniVision OV08A10. Berlin NA, in turn, will receive a 108 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP camera. The first device will be released in Europe, and the second in the USA.

As for the Pstar model, it goes withnumber XT2153. The smartphone is credited with a Snapdragon 865 or Snapdragon 870 processor, 6/8/12 GB of RAM, 128/256 GB of ROM and a 16 MP front camera in the version for the Chinese market and 32 MP for Europe. The main camera in the device will be 108 MP + 16 MP + 8 MP.

Motorola Edge, codenamed Kyoto, will be the most affordable model in the lineup. The device should receive a 32 MP front camera and a main one with 108 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP sensors.

There is no information yet when the announcement of new products will take place.
